Special Message from the Director

Welcome back! Summer just seemed too short this year, but we can't wait to see our families back in Religious Education.

As we begin to look at easing back into full classroom mode, there are still restrictions in place for our academic year. As such, and after a great deal of prayer, we have had to change RE for most of our students. One of the main draws to our religious education program, the direct connection to the Mass, has had to change. Even as the state guidelines are changing, and vaccinations are available, we still need to follow certain safety protocols to move forward for the 2021-2022 academic year. Your safety and health are our top priority, so we must remain diligent in keeping to our guidelines.

As we look forward to 2021-2022, we will offer a variety of session opportunities to make sure we are working with our families' needs. Saturday and Sunday classes will include Mass for grades Pre-school through sixth. Due to spacing issues within the classroom, grades 1-6 will be allowed only 15 students per session. Pre-school and Kindergarten will be allowed 10.

We will still offer two Monday sessions for families with students in grades 1 through 8. There will also be two Tuesday evening sessions for students in grades 7-8.

Our Family Faith session will meet one Tuesday a month from 7:00-8:15 for students in grades K-6.

Remote Learning through "Our Sunday Visitor's" Alive in Christ series and "Pflaum Gospel Weeklies-Seeds, will be available for those preferring the remote option again this year.

We will need extra help throughout this, so we hope any parent who has a child signed up for a classroom session, will be willing to help in some way. We will need catechists, aides, hall monitors, check in staff, parking lot attendants, and office aides, but these helpers must be up to date with Safe Environment policies including Protecting God's Children and Mandated Reporter Training.

We thank you for being part of our program no matter how you are involved! Remember parents are the primary teachers and transmitters of the faith, so you can do this! We will make it as easy as we can during this time, and we are sorry for any inconvenience the new program brings to you.

When it is safe, we will resume our regular schedule! Thank you for all you do for your children, and may God bless you, keeping you healthy and sane during this time of crisis.
